Just when we thought we were getting our bearings in life and had our plans mapped out, the world was turned upside down.
So what do we do now? We welcome this turn of events as an opportunity. A great opportunity. Seizing this opportunity begins with taking an honest, sober look at the "new" world and our place in it. Only then can we hope to draw the new map that we need to get where we want to go. We may have few resources to draw from and we may not be able to depend on systems that we've relied on in the past. We may not have realized just how soft, vulnerable, and dependent we had become until 2020 came along and shook away so many illusions. We may even be frightened as we realize just how precarious our position really is. This is where the greatness of our opportunity becomes clear. While we would never have chosen for the world to be turned upside down as it has been, the upheaval washing over us could be just the wake-up call that we needed to correct course and pursue the things that will make us into the strong, independent, and responsible adults that our homes, businesses, and communities desperately need. No one knows yet how much rubble there will be when the dust of 2020 settles. But when historians look back on "the year the world fell apart", they won't write nearly as much about the rubble as they will about the optimistic thinkers who led the world to a better normal. Stand Up and Lead has been launched to help inspire, educate and equip men of all ages to become the everyday leaders needed to build that better culture and civilization on the other side of the incredible challenges that we face now. 2020 has inaugurated an age of unprecedented opportunity for the observant and the prepared. We hope that resources provided here will help you to recognize and seize those opportunities, and we look forward to working alongside you to help build the personal character necessary for true freedom, liberty, and prosperity to flourish in any land.
